About Me

Hello! My name, as I’m sure you know already, is Cassidy Rizzo. I am a Christian author who is eager to share the Gospel with young people around the world.

First and foremost, you need to know that I’m a born-again, Bible believing Christian. On Thanksgiving Day of 2002, I accepted Jesus’ amazing gift of Salvation and became a child of God. I’ve had some ups and downs in my life, but since that sunny day in November 9 years ago, I’ve relied on God… and, trust me, it’s definitely worth it. I strongly suggest joining me and all the other Christians in The Book of Life. All’s you gotta do is this:

1.) Admit that you’re a sinner. Let’s face it- nobody’s perfect. Not you, not me, not anybody. (Romans 3:23 KJV)

2.) Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day. (Acts 16:31 KJV) There’s proof.

3.) Confess that you need a savior. Humbling yourself  and asking for forgiveness before the God Almighty is sometimes difficult, but it’s worth it. (1 John 1:9 KJV)

And that’s that! Becoming a Child of God is the single most important, substantial thing you can ever do. So do it.

Luke 15:10- Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

I started writing when I was about 6. I was on my way home from a Girl Scouts meeting with my lovely momma, Louise, when I crafted my first story: Julie the Jellybean (I spelled it “July the Jelibeen”). I wanted to tell everyone how awesome the story was! It was illustrated and everything. After awhile, I wrote a sequel to my pilot masterpiece and titled it Julie & Friends. Looking back, I was a terrible writer. I’m not the best writer in the world now, but at least I know how to spell jellybean! 🙂

In 2009, a church about 45 minutes away from the city I grew up in asked my dad to be the pastor. Our family ended up moving there a few months after he became pastor, and we’ve happily lived and served here ever since.

Here are some random facts about me:

I love snow. Snow makes me happy and it inspires me to write. I love to dance around in the snow and take pictures and make snowforts and snowmen. Snow is wonderful 🙂

Shamrock Shakes from McDonald’s are so unhealthy for you, but… with the amount of them that I get during the month of March, you’d think I didn’t care. (sooooo delicious!)

It’s rained on my birthday every year until this year. Which kinda stinks because

I love rain. Its beautiful and though it makes most people gloomy, it makes me so happy and cheerful! 🙂

I’m a night owl. I’m way more productive in the wee hours of the morning. I’m lazy in the morning. Sadness.

I always have very vivid dreams.

I love my brothers. A LOT. Sure, they frustrate me to no end, but in the end… I couldn’t be more thankful to have David, Daniel, and Dylan playing such big parts in my life.

My first job was being a coffee bar tender.

I kinda sorta hate coffee… with a burning passion. So, you ask, why did you work at a coffee bar? Well, our friends own the local cafe and I wanted to help out while they were starting life in the business world.  It was fun.

Chocolate is nasty. Yes, I am a girl.

I don’t usually dance… even when I’m alone. My dancing is pretty awkward.

I teach the 3-year old Sunday school class in my church. At first, I was hesitant. I only offered because no one else did… but it is so worth it! I never realized how funny little kids are until I started teaching the class. Making Play-Doh carrots with my little buddy is a highlight of my weekend. 🙂

Spiderman is my hero. I have Spiderman stickers, a Spiderman hat, a Spiderman figurine, a Spiderman calendar, etc… I love Spiderman. ( ❤ )

Music… oh, music. Where to start? I can’t possibly choose a favorite song or artist. I’d be lying. I love all music equally, save rap music. Actually, don’t. It can go and die. Yeah… 😉

And… that’s just about it! Of course there are millions of other things that make up Cassidy, but it would take hours to write about and you’d probably become uninterested. Anyway, hope you enjoy reading my blog. 🙂
